- Physical abuse, such as hitting, pushing, or restraining a person.
- Verbal abuse, such as yelling, swearing, or making derogatory comments.

- Financial abuse, such as stealing or misusing a person’s money or property.
- Neglect, such as failing to provide adequate care or support.
- Discrimination, such as treating a person unfairly based on their race, gender, religion, or other protected characteristic.
- Any other behavior that is harmful, abusive, or disrespectful.
Prevention of Misconduct
We have established procedures for preventing misconduct and promoting a safe and respectful environment, including the following:
- Training: We provide training to our employees and contractors on our zero-tolerance policy and the importance of respectful and professional behavior.
- Screening: We screen our employees and contractors for criminal history and other relevant information to ensure that they are suitable for working with vulnerable individuals.
- Supervision: We provide regular supervision to our employees and contractors to ensure that they are providing services in a safe and respectful manner.
- Complaints and Feedback: We encourage our customers and employees to report any concerns or complaints regarding misconduct, and we investigate all allegations thoroughly and promptly.
Response to Misconduct
We take all allegations of misconduct seriously and have established procedures for responding to such allegations, including the following:
- Reporting: We encourage our customers and employees to report any allegations of misconduct to Alpha Community Care’s management or ethics hotline.
- Investigation: We investigate all allegations of misconduct thoroughly and promptly, gathering all relevant information and conducting interviews with relevant parties.
- Disciplinary Action: We take appropriate disciplinary action against any employee or contractor found to have engaged in misconduct, up to and including termination of employment or contract. We may also report the misconduct to relevant authorities if necessary.
- Support: We provide support to any customers or employees who have been impacted by misconduct, including access to counseling and other resources.
Continuous Improvement
We continually review and update our Zero Tolerance Policy to ensure that it is effective, efficient, and aligned with our mission and values. We seek feedback from our customers and employees to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as necessary.
