Assistance with daily living, also referred to as ‘Personal Care,’ encompasses the assistance provided to participants for their everyday living requirements and personal care tasks, typically within the participant’s residence. These support services involve a support worker aiding in tasks like light cleaning or cooking, as well as assisting with personal care activities including showering, dressing, and grooming.
What type of support does the NDIS fund?
Your NDIS plan outlines an array of assistance designed to facilitate the achievement of your specified goals. These forms of support can originate from:
- Family and acquaintances, categorized as informal support
- Service providers and local community organizations
- NDIS-funded supports that are reasonable and necessary
Funded through the NDIS, reasonable and necessary supports are intended to aid participants
in:
- Pursuing their objectives and aspirations
- Enhancing their self-sufficiency
