SDA Design Categories
There are four types of homes available with SDA funding, depending on the participants support needs. These are known as Design Categories, and include housing that are:
High Physical Support
Designed for people with significant physical impairments needing high levels of support and accessibility.
Robust Housing
Designed with a reasonable level of physical access provision and to be very resilient.
What are the different building types I can access?
Apartments
Self-contained units that are part of a larger building.
Duplexes, Villas
Separate but Semi-attached properties.
Houses
Detached low rise homes with their own garden or courtyard.
Group Homes
Housing with four or five residents sharing support.
